Briefly Describe Little Designer Book:
Little Designer Book is an online resource to find the most talented up-and-coming designers. LDB readers include boutique owners, fashion editors, photographers, bloggers and anyone who just loves to shop for new designs.
What did you do before Little Designer Book?
Before LDB, I worked as a Senior Account Executive in Advertising and Marketing for major consumer brands. In addition, I most recently co-founded a new online community in my local area that is being recognized as a new form of media to local businesses. I’ve always loved fashion and design. My dream was to attend FIDM, but my parents were not very supportive. Instead, I chose a liberal arts college, but continued to pursue an interest in fashion design. LDB allows me to combine both of my interests: marketing and fashion.
What makes Little Designer Book different from other Blogs?
LDB is different in that it isn’t a shopping blog, and even fashion is not a primary focus. Instead, form, fit, fabric and functionality are key themes when we choose designers to feature. It is important to us to showcase only those that we feel have long-term potential in the marketplace. We might not always get it right, but we’ve seen some of our favorites really make a name for themselves.
What are some of you favorite Designers featured on Little Designer Book?
Hmm. This is a tough one. I have so many favorites. I guess I would have to say Melissa Baswell of Mountains of the Moon, Erin Voorhies and Wyatt Orr are a few of my favorites.
What is your number one fashion source?
My number one source for fashion is WWD.com
But my number one source for design is Apparel News
Describe your Style:
I would describe my style as very Jackie O with a splash of something unexpected. Very chic and often conservative, but I try to throw in something to grab people’s attention. Often it’s a scarf, jewelry or pair of shoes that really make the statement.

What is Fashion Denver? Fashion Denver was born after years of creating my first business, b. shigley designs. After I learned what it took to start a business, I wanted to be able to help other designers build their own. Fashion Denver produces fashion markets, fashion shows and has a showroom to promote and work with our local designers to assist in growing their business.
How old is Fashion Denver? 5 years old
What Designer has been with you the longest? Hmmm.. there are quite a few! There have been designers with us since the very beginning!! Francis Roces is one of the first.
Who is your newest Designer? Again, quite a few. The newest additions to the showroom are: Emily Marchalonis, Cyren Couture, and Stephanie Ohnmac.
What is your next event? Our Holiday Fashion Market is coming up on Sunday, December 13th!!
